
Cresent Ham & Cheese Ring

Ingredients
- 1 8oz. pkg. original or low-calorie crescent rolls
- 1 cup 4Sisters organic white rice, cooked in chicken broth, if desired, according to pkg. directions
- 1 ½ cup finely diced ham
- 1 cup fresh asparagus, cut into 1-inch pieces (remove 1- inch off tough end of asparagus spear)
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 3 green onions, chopped, tops and bottoms
- ½ cup diced red bell pepper
- 2 tbsp. Kraft mayonnaise
- 1 tsp. dried dill or 1 tbsp. fresh dill
- 2 tsp. minced garlic
- ¼ tsp. ground black pepper
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 egg white
- 2 tbsp. shaved almonds
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, except the egg white and almonds.
- Place all crescent roll triangles, overlapping, in a circle on a greased round baking stone, with smallest tip of triangle hanging slightly over the edge of the baking stone.
- Place filling around the dough that is on the baking stone. Wrap the small end of the dough up and over the filling, tucking it into the center.
- Whisk the egg white in a bowl. Brush the dough with the egg white wash. Sprinkle with almonds.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Slice and serve. Serves 4 as main course, 8 as a snack, or side dish.
- Perfect for brunch, lunch, or snack.
