The Foundation

Elton Kennedy's vision: 'Take a little grain and make a big difference'

In 1964, Elton Kennedy planted the seed of what would become one of the largest family rice operations in the United States. Working the rich Louisiana farmland, he built a mill, a community, and a philosophy that guided his family.

His four daughters grew up watching him live that philosophy. When they launched 4 Sisters Rice, they carried it forward — into every bag, every store, every family table.
