
Bread Pudding

Ingredients
- 3 cups cooked 4sisters white rice
- 2 large slices of fresh French bread, cubed (about 1 cup)
- 3 cups half & half
- 6 large eggs, beaten
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 1 ½ tsp. vanilla flavoring
- ¼ cup (½ stick) melted, unsalted butter
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp. ground Nutmeg
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 cup golden raisins
Whiskey Sauce:
- ½ cup unsalted butter, (1 stick)
- ½ cup half & half
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp. Whiskey (we used Makers Mark)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease an 8 x 8 square baking dish or pan.
- Mix all ingredients together, add to baking dish, and bake for 30-40 minutes or until firm in the center.
- While bread pudding bakes, make your whiskey sauce. Add all ingredients to a small pot on stovetop, bring to a low boil for 5 minutes. Let cool.
- Add whisky to sauce mixture when cooled.
- Remove bread pudding when done and serve warm topped with whiskey sauce.
