
Black Bean & Sausage Soup

Ingredients
- ½ cup of 4Sisters White Rice, uncooked
- 1 cup of sausage, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 can of black beans, drained
- 1 cup of seasoning blend (onion, celery red, & green bell pepper)
- 1 Knorr beef bouillon cube
- 3 tbsp. minced garlic
- ½ tsp. thyme
- ½ tsp. basil
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 6 cups of water
Instructions
- Brown sausage in a soup pot over medium-high heat, scraping up the yummy bits off of the bottom.
- Add seasoning blend mix and red bell pepper to browned sausage, cooking until onions are translucent and red bell pepper is tender.
- Stir in minced garlic to your sausage vegetable mixture. Season mixture with a crumbled beef bouillon cube, thyme, basil and cumin.
- Add 1 can of black beans and water to your soup pot, bringing water to a boil.
- Once boiling, add your uncooked white rice to the soup pot. Stir occasionally until rice is cooked, about 15 minutes.
- Serve alongside cornbread or crackers and a salad.
